Daryl started his career in public accounting for 20 years focused primarily on middle market privately held domestic and multinational companies with diverse industry experience in manufacturing, construction, transportation, service, automotive, distribution, retail, sports franchises and entertainment, automotive dealerships, and real estate. Daryl moved from public accounting to private industry in the financial and mortgage industry before serving as the Chief Financial Officer for 12 years in the private equity space.
Daryl has over 35 years of experience in the areas of executive and financial management, accounting, finance, internal controls, audit, tax, and operations. Daryl has been deeply involved in lender financing arrangements, acquisition evaluation, sell side of the business, and worked on publicly held companies including secondary and initial public offerings. Daryl has been involved in strategic initiatives, increasing shareholder value, financial modeling, process improvement, cost saving initiatives, project leadership, and team building, collaboration, and development. Daryl has also been involved in evaluating and implementing ERP systems, financial accounting systems, and payroll systems.
Daryl holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Walsh College and is a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan. He is a member of the Michigan Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Financial Executives International. Additionally, Daryl serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross Southeast Michigan Chapter and is the past chair of the board.
Daryl resides in Oakland Township, Michigan with his wife Amy and their daughter Lexy. They enjoy traveling, riding bicycles, home projects, and spending time with family and friends.
