Tom Carbone is the Controller for Michigan CFO Associates providing analytical support to both clients and our internal CFOs.
Tom spent the majority of his career working as an Office Manager/Controller for a small family-owned manufacturing company.
Not only did Tom manage all the accounting functions for this business, he also found himself managing IT, marketing, and assisting in the day-to-day operations.
Tom’s hands-on experience with running a small successful business has translated very well into his current position at Michigan CFO Associates.
One of Tom’s proudest accomplishments was converting three different accounting systems into one streamlined system. Tom’s knowledge of Excel and various information systems has proved invaluable as he supports his current clients. His focus is to “keep it simple.”
Tom is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Oakland University.
Outside of the office, Tom spends most of his time playing guitar and listening to music. He is currently in an acoustic pop trio that plays around town at several venues in the Metro Detroit area.
