Todd Rammler

Todd Rammler is the President and founder of Michigan CFO Associates, a professional firm providing outsourced Chief Financial Officer services to small-business owners.
Michigan CFO Associates was founded in 2006. Prior to that time, Todd spent 15 years in various senior financial positions primarily in the automotive and manufacturing industries with companies ranging in size from $10M to $70M in revenue.

Todd is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and holds an MS in Accounting from Walsh College (cum laude), and a BBA in Finance from Western Michigan University.

With a very pragmatic view, Todd’s strengths include a unique ability to boil down complicated financial data into a simplified, clear and actionable form. With this clarity, Todd works with business owners to strategically build scalable, healthy businesses that grow in value and meet the business owner’s long term goals.

Born and raised in southeast Michigan, Todd is active in the local business community, and volunteers in various capacities including Macomb Habitat for Humanity, andTechTown, a business incubator in cooperation with Wayne State University in Detroit. Todd is also active with the Walsh College Alumni Association.

Todd is co-author of the book 30 Day Total Business Makeover, has appeared onMichigan Entrepreneur Television, and has been interviewed on numerous radio stations across the country. He has also been featured in The Detroit News, was voted one of Detroit’s Most Valuable Professionals in 2015 Corp! Magazine, and was a 2009 nominee for the “CFO of the Year” awards, presented by Crain’s Detroit Business.

Outside the office, Todd enjoys golf, snowmobiling and music, and is active in his local church. Todd has two children, Joshua and Rachel.

Brian Bach

Brian Bach is a strong Financial and Operations Leader with broad experience in retail, wholesales, service and distribution organizations. Accomplished in multi-store and multi-business settings requiring hands-on fast changing conditions. Skilled executive team member that adds real value by solving problems, enhancing profits, improving processes and controlling costs. Talented MBA graduate with deep experience in key areas of financial management, operational reporting, human resources, bank relations, risk insurance and information technology.

Brian’s experience spans more then 25 years and includes positions as a Commercial Banker, Financial Analyst and Branch Operations Manager. These experiences led to being named Controller and then CFO for a well known retailer and service company. Over his 17 year tenure he helped the company grow from a single store $4 million to a multi store $20 million operation.

In 2004 Brian took a new CFO position with a $50 million multi location sales and service dealership. This newly created position reported directly to the President and was responsible for all Financial Areas, HR, Insurance and IT. He was a key member of the executive team actively involved in identifying, developing and implementing short and long term strategic initiatives.

In 2008 Brian founded CFO Service LLC. His firm assisted clients in providing part-time CFO services, focusing on financial, operational and project management. Recently Todd and Brian have combined efforts to bring a more streamlined approach to providing financial management under the Michigan CFO umbrella.

Brian has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Finance fromSaginaw Valley State University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix.

David Leo

David Leo is a Consulting CFO for Michigan CFO Associatesproviding outsourced Chief Financial Officer services to small business owners.

David Leo’s experience includes 30 years of Finance and Operations level leadership in Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Product Costing, Inventory Control and Risk Management. Throughout his career, David worked for companies with domestic and international operations in several industries.

David has overseen wide-ranging Financial and Operating activities where he led the development and integration of Financial Reporting, Managerial/Job Costing, Cash Management, Profit Analysis, Forecasting & Budgeting systems.

David’s history includes working for companies in Automotive, Defense, Machine Tool, Distribution, Manufacturing, Construction and Physical Security Industries at the CFO, VP, Director and Controller levels. His experience includes implementation of systems for Startup and Mature Organizations.

David earned a BS in Business Administration as a Finance Major from Wayne State University and a MS in Professional Accountancy from Walsh College.

Born and raised in southeast Michigan, David has been very active in the local business and educational communities. David has been involved in coaching Little League baseball teams, volunteering at local non-profit charities and served on the Board of Directors of a local non-profit / church organization as its Treasurer for over 12 years. David currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Israel Business Bridge and is also an Adjunct Professor at South University in Novi, Michigan teaching financial and managerial accounting.

Martin Hilker

Martin Hilker

Martin Hilker is a Consulting CFO for Michigan CFO Associates providing outsourced Chief Financial Officer services to small business owners.

Martin is a Financial Professional with a background that includes a wide scope of responsibilities in manufacturing, service and distribution organizations. Much of his experience is with privately-held firms. Martin is a skilled problem solver who excels at creating common sense solutions to complex problems. He is accomplished in the areas of profit improvement, as well as process creation and optimization.

Martin’s financial management experience is in excess of 30 years, with nearly 20 of those years as CFO. His experience includes positions in Management Consulting, Special Assets Management for a Commercial Bank and CFO. Martin has also headed Program Management, Purchasing, IT and Facilities. In addition, Martin’s has held a number of Controller positions.

From 2009 to 2015, Martin held a Director position with a West Michigan Turnaround, a Merger and Acquisition firm, where he was the financial lead in Turnaround. During his 6-year tenure he successfully completed several Interim CFO client engagements. He was also instrumental in successfully completing several turnaround and crisis management situations.

In 2009, and again in 2015, Martin was principal of Hilker Consulting LLC, where he was engaged as an independent consultant. His firm assisted clients by providing supply chain management, interim CFO services and audit, with a focus on enhancing vendor communication, financial planning and process improvement.

Martin has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Accounting from theUniversity of Detroit Mercy. He has also been a Certified Turnaround Professional since 2001.

Daniel Beardslee

CFO

Daniel Beardslee is a Consulting CFO for Michigan CFO Associates providing outsourced Chief Financial Officer services to small business owners.

Dan is an operations-oriented Finance Executive with CFO and COO experience. He is adept at balancing short term company needs, with long term financial planning. Dan works closely with company owners and top management executives.

Dan has over 30 years experience in the establishment and growth of new businesses, covering broad areas of responsibility including Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Cash Management, Operations, Sales, Risk Management, and Human Resources.

Over his career, Dan has been Partner of a vice seed venture Capital Fund, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, as well as President and COO of a worldwide supplier of prosthetic feet where he is a member of the Board of Directors. In 2000, Dan founded Beardslee Venture Advisors, LLC where se served as part time CFO / Controller for small to medium sized businesses.

Dan was raised in Southeastern Michigan. he has volunteered as mentor or judge in Business Plan Competition since 2001. he is an Adjunct Professor of management atLawrence Technological University (LTU). At his church, he has held several leadership roles including Treasurer. Dan has a Masters of Science Degree in management from MIT Sloan School of Management as well as a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University of Flint.

Thomas Carbone

Thomas Carbone

Financial Analyst

Tom Carbone is a Financial Analyst for Michigan CFO Associates providing analytical support to both clients and our internal CFOs.

Tom spent the majority of his career working as an Office Manager/Controller for a small family-owned manufacturing company. Not only did Tom manage all the accounting functions for this business, he also found himself managing IT, marketing, and assisting in the day-to-day operations. Tom’s hands-on experience with running a small successful business has translated very well into his current position at Michigan CFO Associates.

One of Tom’s proudest accomplishments was converting three different accounting systems into one streamlined system. Tom’s knowledge of Excel and various information systems has proved invaluable as he supports his current clients. His focus is to “keep it simple”.

Tom is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Oakland University.

Outside of the office, Tom spends most of his time playing guitar and listening to music. He is currently in an acoustic pop trio that plays around town at several venues in the Metro Detroit area.

Marie Anne Horne

Marie Anne Horne

Financial Analyst

Marie Anne is a Full Time Financial Analyst for Michigan CFO Associates analytical support to both clients and our internal CFOs.

Marie Anne has a strong accounting and financial analysis background, with over 20 years of experience in public accounting, non-profit, retail and automotive industries.

Marie Anne has worked the entire accounting cycle. Her 20 year experience includes accounts receivable and payable, inventory and payroll, as well as developing budgets and business plans. She has increased the efficiency of her employers by working with vendors and clients to resolve issues.

Marie Anne has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Walsh College and an MBA in Finance from Wayne State University.

Marie Anne doesn’t stop working in the day to day operations at Michigan CFO Associates, she has also done plenty of volunteer work. She is the current Assistant Treasurer of the Band Boosters and Treasurer her sons’ Boy Scouts of America troop. Past volunteer work includes Treasurer to the Office Education Association chapter, President of the Homeowners Association, Assistant Coordinator and Hospitality Coordinator for Mothers of Preschoolers, Assistant Troop Leader to her daughters’ Girl Scouts Troop, and a Religious Education and Music Teacher at their local church.

Marie Anne and her husband, Victor, live in Troy with their three children. In 2013, Marie Anne and her family hosted an exchange student from Germany, which was a wonderful and fun experience for him as well as her whole family.

Sanford Wexler

Sanford Wexler is a Consulting CFO for Michigan CFO Associates providing outsourced Chief Financial Officer services to small business owners.

Sandy’s experience has been gained through his work with a regional accounting firm and consulting firms.  He has a provided a wide range of services including in-depth accounting and operational analysis of businesses, providing interim CFO services for many clients, acting as a trusted advisor to solve complex issues within an organization and executing corporate turnarounds, litigation consulting, forensic accounting and tax services on a timely basis for the benefit of clients and their companies.

Office Manager

Kellee Warren is the Office Manager for Michigan CFO Associates providing support to the entire Michigan CFO team.

Kellee is responsible for ensuring the daily operations run efficiently. Her responsibilities include internal accounting, administration, marketing, and communications. Kellee is an exceptional Administrator with broad experience in automotive, manufacturing, and service organizations.

Kellee graduated with an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) with a major in General Business from Macomb Community Collegeand a certification in Computer Programming.

Kellee’s experience spans more than 10 years and includes positions as an Accounting Specialist, Collections Officer, and Executive Assistant. These experiences led to being named Office Manager for a well-known automotive test laboratory. Over her 5 year tenure she helped the company secure over $1M in collections in just 2 years.
